The proposed ruins at Corner Cottage will be renovated and extended into a charming 1½ storey house. The proposed house has been designed by Montgomery Forgan Associates and it will be constructed from a mixture of stone and render beneath a pantile roof with slate roofed dormer windows. The design of the house will be traditional in style with timber framed astragal windows and doors. It will be well insulated with solar panels in the roof to minimise the energy expenditure.
The layout of the house will include a good sized dining room with doors leading out to the garden, a dining kitchen and another reception room for either formal dining or for use as a family room. The bedrooms will lie on the first floor with cottage character arising from the coomb ceilings and dormer windows.
